The Lavender Shop
Created by Amy Morris in 2016 The Lavender Shop was designed to change the way people think about lavender. Amy combined her passion for lavender with her love of the islands to create a variety of exciting and unique products. All of our bath and body products contain Kukui nut oil and come in Hawaiian inspired scents. Our culinary products contain island flavors such as lilikoi (passionfruit) and hibiscus. Seasonings are blended with Hawaiian Alea red clay salt.
In 2017 the business grew to include a ¼ acre field at Jackson School Lavender that has over 400 plants in 6 different varieties. Jackson School Lavender has been growing lavender since 2003 at the site once occupied by the original Jackson School, dating to 1865.
Also in 2017 the Lavender Shop partnered with Helvetia Christmas Tree and Lavender Farm. The Lavender Shop is excited to be working with the Miller Family and running the Gift Shop at Christmas time. This means you will find even more lavender products at your favorite Christmas tree farm. Visit Santa on his sleigh, roast marshmallows over an open fire and experience the magic of Christmas. The fun starts the day after Thanksgiving.
Meaning of "Aloha"
The word “Aloha” has multiple definitions. The most common being hello, goodbye and I love you. “Aloha” also demonstrates affection, peace, sympathy, kindness, mercy and compassion. The true definition of the word goes beyond the sum of its meanings and transcends into a way of life. A ‘life of Aloha” is one when your heart is so full, it overflows with the ability to positively impact others with your spirit. The “spirit of Aloha” can be summed up as joyfully sharing life with those around you.
Lavender is known for its ability to reduce stress and help create an overall feeling of calm. The complexity of lavender and what it has to offer is much like the complexity of the “spirit of Aloha”. For this reason, the two pair beautifully together. It’s no wonder that “lavender + Aloha” is our top selling bath and body scent. Stop by a market or come to an event and sample our products. We invite you to immerse yourself in lavender and experience the feeling of “Aloha”.
