Giving Back

Making a difference in the lives of others is one of the most important ways to spread the “spirit of Aloha”. The Lavender Shop believes getting involved in the things you are passionate about will yield the best results. Whether sharing your knowledge through word of mouth, giving your time through volunteering or making a financial donation, every action counts. Below are the two organizations/causes that have personally touched the life of The Lavender Shop founder Amy Morris.

Parkinson’s has affected the lives of both her Mother and her Grandmother. As a result, Amy is committed to sharing her experiences and knowledge about the disease as well as raise funds to aid research that will hopefully lead to a cure. If you are interested in donating your time through volunteering, please contact Amy for more information. For every volunteer hour donated to The Lavender Shop, Amy will make a monetary donation to Team Fox.

For over 20 years Amy has watched the Miller’s use their passion to make a difference in the lives of others. Through Samaritan Ministries Ukraine, Don and Nancy Miller have dedicated their lives to helping people learn how to help themselves. Amy has seen firsthand how their organization empowers people and provides opportunities for success. The Lavender Shop is proud to support that mission and contribute to people in need.

Team Fox

Five million people worldwide are living with Parkinson’s disease — a chronic, degenerative neurological disorder. In the United States, 60,000 new cases will be diagnosed this year alone. Team Fox is the grassroots community fundraising program at The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research (MJFF). We are excited to say that 100 percent of Team Fox proceeds go straight to MJFF research programs.

The Lavender Shop hosts special events where 20% of sales are donated directly to Team Fox. Additionally, 3% of annual profits from the Lavender Shop are donated to Team Fox.

Samaritan Ministries Ukraine

Samaritan Ministries in Ukraine (SMU) is an international non-profit organization committed to helping people less fortunate than ourselves. Founded by Don Miler of Helvetia Christmas Tree and Lavender Farm, the organization has expanded to include a wide variety of social and spiritual ministries throughout the region.

Each year, The Lavender Shop donates 20% of its sales from the Helvetia Lavender Festival and the Christmas Gift Shop directly to SMU.
